Tandoor: A video of a group of Muslim devotees taking a pledge inside a masjid in Tandoor went viral. They were not pledging to shun social evils or follow the teachings of Islam but they were taking a pledge to ensure victory for Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidates.
Muslims being administered a pledge to vote only for TRS and for the party candidate Mahendar Reddy could be seen in the clip. Devotees could be seen repeating a pledge with outstretched hands to vote only for TRS. They claimed that CM KCR and Mahendar Reddy had taken good care of Muslims in four years.
According to TOI in several places, villagers have reportedly passed resolutions to vote for TRS candidates.
