Committee for the Release of Political Prisoners (CRPP) has said today that political prisoners in Warangal, Visakhapatnam and all other jails in the State will start relay hunger strike from September 13—Political Prisoners’ Rights Day, in support of their demands.
Speaking to the media at NSS here, Virasam leader Varavara Rao and CRPP General Secretary Ball Ravindranath said that their demands included release of eligible political prisoners who completed ten years including remission on October 2, adequate facilities and medical care in jails, and prevention of unnatural deaths in prisons.
