Political leaders press for Telangana formation

Telangana Nagara Samithi chairman and Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday said that all problems of the employees and students would be resolved with the formation of separate Telangana State.

Addressing the round-table conference on Violation of Presidential Orders and GOs organized under the aegis of Telangana Nagara Samithi at the Jubilee Hall, Janardhan Reddy said that the students and employees have suffered major injustice in the united Andhra Pradesh. He said that the justice could be done to the region only with the formation of separate State.

Janardhan Reddy said that he would meet governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy seeking justice in the increase of medical college seats in the Telangana region.

Participating in the conference, Peddapalli MP G Vivek said that the Telangana state could be achieved with consistent agitation only. Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki said that the Centre was delaying the decision on the statehood in order to dilute the agitation. He said that the ministers from the Telangana region have to play a crucial role in the agitation by extending their full support.

Telangana political Joint Action committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram, Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha, MLAs Pocharam Srinivas, Harishwar Reddy, K T Rama Rao and MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi participated in the meeting and shared their views on the formation of Telangana State.
