Political barometer high in Hyderabad; as Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah to visit

The third week of August will make out the political barometer rising in Hyderabad. For the first time since the Congress was on the run in the polls and the BJP stride to power at the Centre, new BJP president Amit Shah and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will be in the city on political missions.

While Shah is schedule to be in Hyderabad for two days on August 21 and 22, Rahul will pay a one-day visit either on August 23 or 24.

The Congress vice-president will address the party workers at the proposed brainstorming session of the Telangana Congress to bring all the splinter group together and call upon them to make sure that the objective of having achieved Telangana is not subverted.

Congress president Ponnala Lakshmaiah at a meeting Telangana had with AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh in Delhi on Wednesday taken the decision of inviting Rahul to hold the brainstorming session.

According to Uppal BJP MLA NVVS Prabhakar, Amit Shah, will address a public rally and a meeting of elected members of the panchayat bodies during his two-day visit to Hyderabad. Both the meetings will be held at the Exhibition Grounds.
