After the notification issued by election commission for by-elections, the activities of political parties have increased and they are finalizing strategies to win the seats.
Five MLA’s had resigned in support of Separate Telangana movement. The Karoor MLA resigned in support of YSR Congress. One seat was vacated with by the resignation of Dr. Nagam Janaradhana Reddy who had won this seat in 2009 on TDP ticket.
He resigned alleging the anti-Telangana stand adopted by TDP Supremo Mr. Chandrababu Naidu. TRS has finalized its candidates. Elections are scheduled for 18th March 2012.
