Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has said a new policy on the sale and purchase of the agriculture lands will be introduced soon so that no one ever needs to pay a rupee and run from pillar to post around the offices.
The Chief Minister said the State-wide land purification program will be completed by December 31 and new Passbooks will be issued from January 1. The CM wanted sanction of loans and other banking transactions, services should be done based on the new records in the farmer-friendly atmosphere.
The CM held a meeting with the State-level bankers and officials from Agriculture department on Tuesday at Pragati Bhavan. The CM suggested that henceforth there is no need to mortgage passbooks with the banks as is done now for raising loans. Since waiver of farmers loans has taken place all over the states, the banks should give letters to farmers stating that their loans have been cleared.
The Chief Minister wanted the bankers to inform in details to farmers while sanctioning loans, renewing the loans. The CM said farmers are being organized in the state, reforms are being brought in the registration system and wanted the bankers to come forward to help the farmers. The CM also discussed the effects of demonetization and the GST.
