Nagpur, August 24: An exchange of fire took place between police and a group of axals in Sonsuri forest in Kurkheda taluk of Gadchiroli district this evening, police said.
One 303, and four 12 bore rifles, apart from some Naxal literature, were recovered from the spot, they said.
The exact number of Naxals injured could not be known immediately. However, no policeman was injured in the encounter, they said.
