Constable was seriously injured while chasing a suspicious person under the Meerpet Police Station limits.
According to Meerpet police, the two constables Narender and Srikanth were on patrolling duty. In the wee hours of Tuesday, when they suddenly caught sight of a notorious criminal involved in several burglary cases, they tried to catch him. Immediately after noticing the policemen, the suspect increased the pace of his bike. However the chase ended with the accident, when both the constables fell from the bike after skidded the road near Gayatri Nagar Cross roads.
One of the Constable Narender was shifted to Kamineni hospital for treatment, Meerpet Inspector P Shankar Yadav. (INN)
