Ranchi, Dec 19: A policeman was killed and two othes were injured when Maoist guerrillas exploded a landmine in Palamau district of Jharkhand, police said today.
The rebels ambushed a police patrol near Navabazar, about 170 km from Ranchi, on Friday night and opened indiscriminate fire, sparking a gun battle that lasted nearly three hours.
Police said a Maoist was also killed.
