Srinagar, July 08: A policeman, injured in a grenade attack by militants here on Monday, succumbed to injuries at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura today, official sources said. Constable Zulfikar Ali was critically injured along with three other colleagues and five civilians when militants exploded a grenade at Gawkadal in the heart of the city, the sources said.
The grenade was hurled by militants at a time when the situation in the city was tense following violent clashes over the disappearance of a student.
