Senior Congress leader, Dr. K.Keshava Rao blamed the police for using rubber bullets and tear gas shells on the peaceful Telangana agitators despite the fact that permission was given for the March. He told that Congress M.P’s of Telangana are reviewing the situation. He has also spoken to Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said that they won’t hesitate to take a stern step.
He thanked the people and Prof. Kodandaram for the success of Telangana March.
A meeting of Congress M.P’s was held at the residence of Dr. K.Keshava Rao. After the meeting, while talking to newsmen, Dr. Keshav Rao told that Govt. has totally failed. Despite giving permission for holding the March between 3 p.m. & 7 p.m., police continued arrests in the districts. When M.P’s went to C.M’s Office to represent this fact, they were arrested. Mr. Damodhar Raja Narasimha was irritated on police behavior. He said that if resignation is tendered, it won’t be withdrawn. Mr. Jana Reddy also got irritated over police reaction.
Congress M.P’s of Telangana declared that they won’t lag behind in Telangana Movement and they won’t compromise on Telangana issue. Telangana M.P’s would think seriously about their future course of action. Dr. Keshav Rao has already talked to Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad in this regard. They are sending Mr. P.Sudhakara Reddy, MLC to New Delhi to negotiate with Congress High Command.
Dr. Keshava Rao told that they would hold a meeting today.
