Hyderabad, October 01 (Siasat News): Immediately following the pronouncement of Babri Masjid title verdict police tightened security in the city’s west zone. Police had barricaded sensitive areas and directed people to remain indoors.
Mobile police were patrolling in the west zone areas of Tappachabotra, Karwan, Kulsoom pura, Habeeb Nagar, Asif Nagar as well as Mangal Hatt and Begum Bazaar. City police had been keeping vigilance all over the city through helicopters.
It has been told that police vigilance will be enhanced in the sensitive areas of west zone today, in view of Friday.
No untoward incident had been reported after the pronouncement of verdict and DCP west zone Stephen Ravindra had been closely watching the situation.
People of a certain community were trying to fire crackers in the area of Mangal Hatt when DCP reached the spot and dispersed them by force.
He said ‘mischievousness will not be tolerated in any case.’ He also advised his subordinates to be alert against such type of activities.
