No one has the permission to raise voice against irregularities and corruptions in Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Fake allegations are levied on him, who points out the irregularities. University authorities have begun crushing the voice of outside people as well. Vice Chancellor and his stooges not only stopped the protests staged by Tanzeem-e-Insaaf the sub organisation of CPI but took them into custody through police. Leaders of Tanzeem-e-Insaaf planned to meet Vice Chancellor in connection with the regularities in the university. They sought time from Vice Chancellor but on learning about the protest Vice Chancellor converted the university entrance into police cantonment and without giving chance to meet the Vice Chancellor they were taken into police custody. The leaders wanted to submit a memorandum but Vice Chancellor refused to meet them and also tried to insult the leaders with the help of police.
Meanwhile CPI leader and former MP Rajya Sabha Syed Aziz Pasha strongly condemned the attitude of university authorities and demanded that the central government announce CBI enquiry into financial and administrative irregularities in the university.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Syed Aziz Pasha said Mohammed Miyan, whose term will expire on May 12, filling the posts under 15 categories, including Registrar, Controller and Finance officer, in haste. He made 150 illegal appointments in teaching and non-teaching staff ignoring qualification, experience and age. He has also appointed several outsiders, while ignoring the local deserving candidates, he stated. Surprisingly, the VC has appointment watchman belonging to UP ignoring local candidates, he added.
