Raipur, December 21: Police Tuesday said they were still hunting for gunmen who killed a journalist in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur town and calmly walked away.
“We are doing our best to make a headway. A few suspects have been interrogated but (there are) no clues, no leads so far,” Bilaspur police chief Jayant Thorat told reporters.
Sushil Pathak, 35, who worked with Dainik Bhaskar newspaper, was shot dead when he was returning home early Monday after his night shift.
Police said he was shot at least four times and died on the spot. The incident occurred in Sarkanda area in Bilaspur, the second most populous town in the state about 120 km from here.
