Police solve murder case that saw J-K burning

Srinagar, July 15: The killing of 20-year-old Asrar Mushtaq, which led to violent protests in Srinagar last week, wasn’t what the locals thought to it to be—a case of police brutality. The police now claim that the deceased’s friends were involved in his killing.

Claiming to have cracked the sensational murder case, the police arrested two young men Imran and Asim. Asrar’s blood stained clothes and his motorbike have also been recovered. Police said there was a love angle to the case.

The police said Asar had started seeing Imran’s girlfriend, which led to Imran plotting and executing his friend’s killing with the help of Asim.

Alleging it to be a case of police brutality, locals had set afire some police vehicles while causing other damages. Even the separatists had forced a three-day shutdown in the valley to protest the police’s ‘barbaric act’.
