Local Police seized weapons and high security digital goods, including high security cameras and bullet proof jackets and other sophisticated material, from the house of SGPC member Kulbir Singh Barapind, who was arrested for his alleged links with terrorist outfit Khalistan Commando Force. Barapind was arrested under sections 121, 121-A, 120-B IPC, 3/4/5 of the Explosives Act 1984, 25 A, 17/18/20/40, 18/19/38/39 of the unlawful activities Act 1967 in a case registered at Goraya on September 21 and was taken on police remand. DIG Jalandhar range Lok Nath Angra said today that during interrogation Kulbir Singh disclosed astonishing revelations and in the follow up action the police seized several items which included one Mouser/Pistol 30 Bore, 6 live Cartridges, one air gun, weapon cleaning material, one security camera (Sealed), two night vision Binoculars, three Laptops, one Video camera, one Digital Camera, two Walky-talky sets, seditious Literature, two bullet proof jackets and one beacon light. It is pertinent to mention here that the search and seizure operation were video-graphed on the spot. During the Investigation it has come to light that China made mouser pistol 30 bore and 06 cartridges which was recovered from the above mentioned Kulbir Singh was a part of consignment recovered by Nawanshahr Police in the month of May. In this regard FIR No.42 U/S 121, 121A, 120 3-4-5 Explosive Act. dated 20-05-2012 was registered in P S Sadar Banga, Distt. Nawanshahr. It has come to light during investigation that Sandeep Singh S/o Jinder Singh R/o Saifabad had gone to Pakistan. His association with Gurnek Singh alias Neka and Kulbir Singh Bara Pind has been established and is also a known fact. Another accused of the case Sukhwinder Singh S/o Sohan Singh R/o Rounu Khurd P S Sadar Khana was having close association with Kulbir Singh and used to stay in his house. All accused have criminal background and remained involved in criminal activities. During the follow up, one Surinder Singh R/o Thikriwal Distt Barnala has been arrested by Barnala Police. A .315 bore country made Pistol and cartridges were recovered by the Barnala Police. A case FIR No. 261 dated 22-09-2012 U/S 25-54-59 A.Act P S city Barnala. The said Surinder Singh looked after the personal security of Kulbir Singh Bara Pind. Surinder Singh is on Police remand. The fact that he has gone to Pakistan for training is also being verified. Kulbir Singh Bara Pind is having regular contacts on Facebook/Internet with the pro Khalistan elements. It is important to mention here that his e-mail account got deleted by some contacts in Australia when he got arrested. During investigation it has come to light that Kulbir Singh Bara Pind used to get funding from the foreign countries. The further investigation in this regard is going on. Kulbir Singh Bara Pind and other above mentioned persons are involved in the pro- Khalistani, seditious and terrorist activities. UNI
