Kushinagar (UP), September 23: The Uttar Pradesh Police today sought the assistance of Intelligence Bureau to investigate a case of smuggling of USD one million cash and a gold biscuit here.
Police had yesterday arrested two smugglers in Padrauna area and recovered a gold biscuit with a US stamp on it and USD one million cash from their possession.
One of the arrested hailed from West Champaran in Bihar and the other was from Mahrajganj in UP, police had said, adding that they had come to the town to look for prospective buyers for the US currency which they had brought from Nepal.
