HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police on Sunday revealed chilling details in the rape and murder case of a woman veterinary doctor.
According to a report published in India Today, the Cyberabad police in the remand report (based on the statements of the four accused) unfolded the events that happened between the fateful night of November 27 and 28.
Events unfold
On the night of November 27, when the female doctor parked her two-wheeler and left to go to the dermatologist, the four accused noticed her and hatched a plan.
As part of their plan, one of the culprits deflated the tyre of the two-wheeler.
When the 26-year-old veterinarian returns and noticed one of the tyre was deflated, the culprits approached the doctor on the pretext of getting the two-wheeler repaired.
While one of the culprits took the vehicle, the other accused dragged her into some bushes and raped her, all within one hour.
When the victim screamed for help, they forcibly gave her whiskey, hit her on the head making her unconscious and raped her.
Afterwards, when she gain conscious again started shouting, the prime accused killed her by smothering.
“By the time the accused returned to the spot after filling air in the tyre, she was already dead due to asphyxiation as they forcefully closed her mouth and nose. However, he went ahead and assaulted her body,” The Hindu quoted a senior officer as saying.
After committing the crime, the accused then wrapped the body in a blanket, took it in the lorry and carried it 27 km away from Shamshabad.
They then doused petrol over it and set it on fire in the underpass of Shadnagar Outer Ring Road.
The burnt body of a veterinary doctor was on Thursday found at Shadnagar outskirts in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district.
On seeing the news of murder being telecast on media, an employee of the petrol bunk informed the police about one of the suspects buying petrol the previous night.

Nationwide protest
Condemning the incident, locals and people across the country raised slogans and demanded capital punishment for the accused.
During the march, angry citizens were seen holding placards stating, “Urgent need of hour, strict punishment to rapists”, “Rape is not a punishment for poor judgement”, “Forgetting is difficult, remembering is worse”, “You are not a victim for sharing your story, you are survivor setting the world on fire with your story”.
Accused arrested, cops fired
Four persons have been arrested in the case so far and sent to the judicial remand of 14-days by a local court.
Earlier on Saturday, three cops were suspended over alleged negligence in filing the FIR in connection with the rape and murder of the veterinarian.
