The Alwal police have retrieved the body of a 55-year-old woman from the Hashmatpet lake.
The deceased was later identified as A Yellubai, a resident of Harijan Basti near Hasmatpet. She was missing from her house since January 15 and is suspected to have accidentally fallen into the lake. The police handed over the body to the relatives after an autopsy was conducted on the same at Gandhi Hospital mortuary on Saturday.
