Mohali, March 21: Police remand of two suspected militants of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), who were arrested during a joint operation conducted by Mohali and Delhi (Special Cell) police, was today extended for another two days by a Dera Bassi court near here.
Two BKI ultras identified as Daljit Kumar alias Deepak, and Purshotam Singh alias Bunty, were arrested from near Nabha Sahib gurdwara on Zirakpur-Patiala National Highway late on Thursday night.
Under heavy security cover, both the suspected militants were produced before the court this afternoon after expiry of their two-day police remand granted on Friday.
Accepting the prosecution’s plea, Duty Magistrate Kiran Bala extended the police remand of both the accused for two more days. The two will now be produce before the court on Tuesday.
