Police Recruitments: Age relaxation under consideration

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana is actively considering the proposal of Police Recruitment Board for relaxing the maximum age limit for recruitments. It is expected that TS Govt. will take a sympathetic decision in this regard.

It may be noted that unemployed youths had organized protest rallies and submitted memoranda to almost all the ministers demanding age relaxation in recruitments.

A representation was made to DGP, Mr. M. Mahender Reddy, he in turn, directed Police Recruitment Board to submit proposals.

It may be pointed out that last year, TS Govt. had given 6 year age relaxation in police recruitments but this year, after the consultation made by police officials, it was suggested that three years age relaxation could be given.

It is reported that if three more years are relaxed, 30000 additional candidates would be eligible to apply.

Police Recruitment Board forwarded this proposal to the Chief Secretary of TS Govt.

It is essential to mention that Police Recruitment Board issued notification to fill up 18000 vacancies.
