Hyderabad: SOT sleuths of LB Nagar Zone under Rachakonda Commissionerate on 28th February raided a house at Kamala Nagar in Vanasthalipuram and apprehended one G. Suresh Kumar Reddy alias Suresh for indulging in supplying of Gutka and tobacco products from his possession.
Police said during interrogation accused Gudimetla Suresh Kumar Reddy alias Suresh confessed that he acts as a commission agent to supply the tobacco products like cigarettes, beedi and so on. Later, he started selling Gutkha, tobacco and other products to pan shop owners and tea stall vendors. The police found that the accused stores and sells Zarda, which contains Tobacco and Nicotine ingredients and tobacco product like Amber Tobacco, Raja Tobacco, Miraj, Baba Tobacco which packed in pouches/Sachets in the name of various brands.
The accused was handed over to the Vanasthalipuram P.S. The seized products were also deposited in the police station. The raids were conducted under the supervision of Syed Rafeeq, Addl. DCP SOT, by T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector, Mir Mudasir Ali, SI and the staff. (NSS)
