Police questioning people who knew Headley in Mumbai

Mumbai, November 09: In a bid to trace the steps of David Headley, arrested by FBI for his involvement in an LeT plot to carry out attacks in India, Mumbai Police has begun questioning and recording statements of people who used to work with him or knew him during his stay here.

“We have recorded statements of various people in this connection,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told PTI here.

Sources in the investigation said that a woman had been identified who used to work with the US citizen during his stay in Mumbai.

When Maria was asked whether statement of the woman, who was not immediately identified, had been recorded, he said it was not possible for him to share such details. “All I can say is that we are recording the statements of everyone who has met Headley,” Maria said.
