Afghanistan, August 28: AT least 15 people, most of them policemen, have been killed in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region near the Afghan border, officials say.
The attack took place in the Khyber tribal region while policemen were gathering to break their fast.
“A suicide bomber blew himself up in the residential barracks of the local policemen at Torkham town near the Afghan border, killing at least 15 people,” local administration official Rehan Gul Khattak said.
A security official also confirmed the attack and the number of casualties.
