Mr. K. Ramchandran, Additional DCP (Admin), has been appointed the Chief of Task Force of Central Zone. Mr. Ramchandran was Inspector of Central Zone Task Force in 2007 when he arrested 26 innocent Muslim youths and they were targeted with 3rd degree punishment at a Farm House in the outskirts of Hyderabad alleging them to be involve in conspiracies to start war against the country. 7th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge had acquitted them with full honours.
Mr. Ramchandran was appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police in 1985, he worked at Charminar, Bowenpally, Monda Market Police Stations. In November 2007 He was arrested in disproportionate assets case and was sent to jail. After his release on bail , the police officers have been rewarding him with promotions. A Civil Case is also pending with City Civil Court claiming the compensation to the Muslim youths for the police atrocities.
It is very surprising that such an officer has been promoted and posted to an important position ignoring his earlier criminal record.
