The Dundigal police busted a house-breaking gang on Tuesday. Police seized 20 tolas of gold ornaments and 22 two-wheelers from them.
The accused have been identified as N Kumar, B Murari, Prasanth, and Lingam Goud, all native of Medak district and a receiver, Raju, were reported to have been involved in such offences for quite some time.
Police under the supervision of ACP (CCS) Usha Rani, laid a trap and nabbed Kumar on Tuesday during routine checking of vehicles. Based on his confession, others were arrested. During interrogation, they confessed to have committed crime under different police station limits and were involved in at least 28 similar offences.
“Kumar was moving suspiciously and on inquiry he did not disclose the particulars of the stolen property, so he was brought to police station. On interrogation, he confessed to their involvement in the house burglaries and bike lifting,” the cops said. The accused persons were produced before the court for police remand.
