Police may take action against parents if minors found driving vehicles

Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Traffic Police is taking action against those who drive vehicles without a license. Despite issuing instructions by the police, many are not following it which leads to accidents.

In some cases, parents provide vehicles to their minor children although police arranged counseling for parents in which they were told not to provide any vehicles to their minor children.

Police may take stern action against such parents. They also propose to take action against the educational institutions.

It may be mentioned that driving license is issued only to a person above 18 years of age. Many minor boys are found to be indulging in rash driving, violating traffic rules.

During police checking, on Sunday last, 400 minor boys were caught driving vehicles. DCP (Traffic), Mr. Ranganath announced that their parents will be called for counseling.
