Ranchi, January 22: The security forces and Maoists today exchanged gunfire at Jharkhand’s Naxal-affected Latehar district.
“There was an encounter for an hour at Garu area in the district,” DGP Niaz Ahmed told reporters here.
However, no Maoists could be arrested as they managed to flee after the gunfire.
