Hyderabad, April 08: A city police informer was found murdered near the premises of Krishna Nagar in Gandhi Nagar police station limits late on Friday night.
Gandhi Nagar police said that E Ganesh (35), an auto driver, was found lying on the road with deep head injuries. “The murder took place near a temple in Krishna Nagar.
Beer bottles were recovered from the scene of murder,” police said. Ganesh had been issuing tip offs to local police about activities of local criminals and their movements. Police said that the miscreant killed Ganesh using a boulder.
“Around 11 p.m., some unidentified persons came to Ganesh’s house and he went out along with them but did not return home,” police added.
The role of local pickpockets, who bore grudge on Ganesh for passing the info, is suspected behind the murder. A case was registered against the accused.
