Hyderabad city Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma today clamped prohibitory orders under section 144 of Cr.Pc on the surrounding roads of one km radius leading to the Nampally Criminal Courts for two months commencing from tomorrow.
A police press release here said, the Commissioner had imposed prohibiting orders for not holding any public meetings and assembly of five or more persons and carrying of fire-arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats, shouting of slogans, making of speeches, processions and demonstrations, and Picketing or dharnas in any public place withinthe area specified in the schedule and sketch map appended to this order without a written permission. Religious functions and rallies, public meetings in the specified areas can be held with prior written permission from the DCsP Central and West Zones, Hyderabad well in advance and this orders shall not apply to processions which have the requisite permission of the concerned Zonal DCsP/Divisional/ACsP.
This order shall come into force with effect from 0600 hrs on May 27 and shall remain in force for a period of two months upto 0600 hrs on July 26 unless withdrawn earlier. Any person violating the order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and also as per provisions of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli, the relese added. UNI
