Police holds review meeting ahead of Eid-ul-Adha and Ganesh procession

Hyderabad: DCP of South Zone, Mr. V. Satyanarayana convened a meeting of police officials of his zone and instructed them to be alert since Eid-ul-Adha and Ganesh procession are falling in the same week. The representatives of Ganesh Utsav Samithi were also consulted. They were clearly instructed that Ganesh procession should pass through the city before 5 p.m. Last year the procession had passed through the city at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Satyanarayana told that this year, more than 6000 ganesh idols will be installed. He warned the organizers against keeping big lorries in their possession forcibly for the transportation of ganesh idols. He said that action would be taken in this regard. The meeting was attended by ACP of Charminar, Mr. Ashok Chakravarti, ACP of Falaknuma, Mr. Mohammed Tajuddin Ahmed and Addl. DGP, Mr. Babu Rao.
