Hyderabad, April 21: In a failed attempt of suicide a youth set himself ablaze after pouring petrol over his body however he was severely burnt in the incident.
It is said that Shaik Rafi resident of Batkamma Kunta a fruit vendor by occupation runs a pushcart at Nizam Sagar Road.
Another fruit vendor was murdered in the same area few days ago. Shaikh Rafi had informed the police about the incident on phone.
It is said that police belonging to Kamareddy police station were harassing him since then and were insisting him to provide clue for the case. The vexed Shaikh Rafi bought petrol from a local petrol pump and set himself ablaze after pouring the petrol over his body.
He suffered serious burn injuries in the incident. Police told that Shaikh Rafi’s condition is critical.
