Andhra Pradesh police today again foiled another attempt of Kapu leader and former minister Mudragadd Padmanabham for taking chalo “ Amaravati” padyatra demanding reservation to his community.

Mudradda after expiry of his house arrest period tried to take out padyatra in the morning when police prevented him saying that there is no police permission for his padyatra. He was under house arrest since July 26. Mudragadda indulged in verbal argument with police when he was stopped. He asked police why they are not allowing him to take out padyatra when he decided to conduct it peacefully and in a democratic way.
Police officers informed him that as per the supreme court orders prior permission should be taken from the government for any padyatra. Since he has not taken permission, police is not allowing him to take padyatra. (NSS)
