Police foil Kodandaram’s Jangaon yatra

 Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram was taken into preventive custody by the police on Saturday while he was on his way to Jangaon to participate in sixth phase of Amara Veerula Spoorthi Yatra.

Earlier in the day, Kodandaram met Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy at latter’s residence in Ministers’ Quarters and sought permission for the Amara Veerula Spoorthi Yatra. However, the Home Minister was non-committal on the issue. Speaking to media persons later, Kodandaram said he was firm on undertaking sixth phase of Amara Veerula Spoorthi Yatra in Warangal despite all obstructions.

When he proceeded for the yatra, he was stopped at Narapally near Ghatkesar and taken into preventive custody.
