Police failed to control miscreants in Sangareddy: Zahid Ali Khan

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor Siasat and member politbureau of TDP after visiting the riot affected areas of Sangareddy expressed his reaction that police failed to control the miscreants and Govt. also failed to control the police for which the Muslims had to pay the price.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that had the police officials acted promptly, the riot could have been controlled. Instead of stopping the rioters, police provided them an opportunity to do whatever they liked.

Had the police reacted on the complaint of a Muslim about the objectionable photo of Kaaba, the riot could have been averted. Police neglected the Muslims who had represented about this mischief. Immediately after this, the miscreants started attacking the shops of the Muslims. It gives rise to the suspicion of a conspiracy. Instead of taking action, police cordoned the miscreants and saved them. Not only this, Muslim youths were arrested on a mass scale which again depicts the communal and narrow minded mentality.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan further told that even the younger children were booked under criminal cases which depicts the partisan attitude of the police. BJP leader incited the sentiments of the Muslims and the Congress MLA encouraged the miscreants.

He pointed out that during the TDP period Govt. had full control over the police but it seems that now the police has control over the Govt. seeing the weaker position of the Govt. police officials get encouraged to play mischief.

Mr. Naidu wanted to visit the riot affected areas but the police did not allow him to do so under the pretext that the situation is not normal.
