Kochi, September 28: Top police officials today evaluated security arrangements at the Jawaharlal Nehru International stadium at nearby Kaloor, venue of the first India-Australia ODI on October 17.
Headed by Kochi City Police Commissioner, Manoj Abraham, the team visited the stadium to discuss security-related issues for the ODI, a Kerala Cricket Association press release said.
They also visited various entry points and suggested various measures for smooth conduct of the match.
Decision has been taken to cover the entire spectator area as part of the security measures and to keep the players area sterile.
Special commandos will be posted on the boundary to check any unauthorised entry inside the ground.
The police officials also suggested putting up a surveillance camera at the entry points and seating areas.
Ticket sales will start by October 7 and would end on October 15.
