In the wake of the bomb blasts at Dilsukhnagar on February 21, and the existing security environment in the City, Mr Anurag Sharma, Commissioner of Police and Addl. District Magistrate Hyderabad City, has directed all licensees of cinema theatres located in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and Owners / Managements of the Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishments, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings to Install door frame metal detector at all the access / entrance points of the theatre / Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishment, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings, whenever such metal detectors are already installed, it should be ensured that they function effectively.
Install close circuit TVs for observing and recording suspicious movements / activities, the recordings of which have to be kept in safe custody for a minimum period of one month.
Ensure thorough checking of cinema hall between one show and another to prevent suspicious objects if any being left by any one which could be detrimental to safety and security of the audience.
Ensure thorough frisking of each and every person and baggage at the access points of the Cinema Halls / Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishment, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings.
All the Owners / Managements of the Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishment, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings should also ensure that not to allow for parking of any four wheelers, three wheelers, two wheelers and cycles in front of their establishments.
Provide cloak room for deposit of belonging / bags etc, which are not required to be taken inside the Cinema Theatre / Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishment, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings.
The management should also engage sufficient number of security staff for checking and frisking for dangerous materials at the entrances / access points. City Police would train the personnel engaged by the management on request.
All Owners / Managements of the Shopping Complexes / Malls, Star Hotels, Lodges, Big establishment, Entertainment places and Govt. / Private large buildings will open a register for checking point note book in the format supplied by local Police.
These orders will come into force with immediate effect. (NSS)
