After the murder of a seven-year-old boy at Ryan International School, Gurugram, Mumbai police decided to re-launching “Police Didi” project.

It may be mentioned that last year, Mumbai police had launched the ‘Police Didi’ project after the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl by trustee and class teacher of an International school in Andheri.

According to the news published in TOI, under this project, women police officers are deployed to educate minors on how to be alert and prevent abuse and harassment.

A senior police officer said that in the current academic year, police teams will visit schools once in a week for an hour.
