Hyderabad: Commissioner Task Force conducted raid on godowns using carbide to ripen the mangoes. The raid was conducted on different godowns of the city and 4 mango traders were arrested. Large amount of chemicals were seized from their possession.
Additional Commissioner Police Task Force Koti Reddy told that raids were conducted on godowns at Moghalpura, Bhavani Nagar, Falaknuma and Husaini Alam and calcium carbide, china chemical power and other chemicals were recovered.
To make easy money fruits are ripened artificially which is harmful for health. Task Force team arrested Abdur Raheem (28), R/O Yaqutpura, Aqueel Babu (48) R/O Bibi Bazar X-Road, Mohammed Akber (22) and Shaikh Jabbar (27) R/O Falaknuma.
