Raigarh: Protector turns rapists in a disgusting incident where a police constable father allegedly raped his own 6-year-old daughter an official said.
The incident is reported from Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district where the 45-year-old constable raped his daughter in the absence of his wife and moreover threatened her not to disclose about it to anyone.
But the girl narrated the ordeal to her mother who in turn took action against her husband and filed a complaint against him.
The accused was posted at Sarangarh police station in the district and was arrested on Tuesday and booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation), and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
He is remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
