Bangalore City Police Commissioner B Jyotiprakash Mirji today requested the media to exercise retraint while publishing and telecasting “unverified” reports on the ongoing terror suspects investigations.
“The issue concerns national security, is also communally sensitive and should not vitiate law and order. I request the media to be more responsible and cooperate with police,” he said, addressing editors of print and electronic media after some speculative reports appearing in a section of the media.
