Hyderabad: Mr. Mahender Reddy, Commissioner of Police of Hyderabad City hosted Iftaar party at Chowmahallah Palace, Khilwat yesterday. Present on this occasion were Home Minister, Mr. M. Narasimha Reddy, DGP, Mr. Anurag Sharma, DGP, ACB, Mr. A.K. Khan, Mayor of Hyderabad, Mr. Ram Mohan, Dy. Mayor, Baba Fasihuddin, TRS MLC, Mohammed Saleem, Commissioner of GHMC, Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Mr. Anjani Kumar, Ms. Swati Lakri, Mr. Malla Reddy, Mr. Tarun Joshi, Mr. C.V. Anand, Mr. Avinash Mohanty, Mr. Ismail Siddiqui, Mr. Moosa bin Ibrahim, Mr. Babu Rao and other police officials. DCP of South Zone was wearing Sherwani. He welcomed the guests. Mr. Sharma and Mr. Reddy were also clad in Sherwanis.
Addressing the gathering, Home Minister, Mr. Narasimha Reddy said that no one can destroy the Ganga-Jamuna civilization of Hyderabad since City Police is always alert. He requested the Muslims to offer special prayer for maintenance of peace and tranquility of the city. He congratulated Commissioner of Police for hosting Iftaar party.
At the beginning of the function, Hafiz Osman Nakhshbandi addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of Ramazan. He prayed for the development and prosperity of Telangana State. Maulana Qubool Pasha Shuttari, Maulana Rizwan Quraishi, Sufi Abdul Qadir, Awlia Husaini Murtuza Pasha, Maulana Fazlullah Qadri and other Muslim scholars also attended the function.
