Commissioner of City Police, Mr. Anurag Sharma toured various localities for five hours to take stock of the arrangements in connection with Ganesh Festival.
He toured the sensitive areas of Old city like Chatrinaka, Mitti ka Shair, Kabootar Khana, Moosa Bowli, Bogul Chinta, Rajanna Bowli, Rama Swamy Gunj, Gowlipura, Talab Katta, Bhavani Nagar and Madannapet.
He reviewed the arrangements of Ganesh Mandaps and the police pickets posted there.
After his visit, he talked to pressmen. He said that more than 9 thousand Ganesh idols have been installed in the city. In old city, more than 20 thousand idols have been installed. He ruled out any untoward incident during Ganesh immersion. It will be over peacefully.
