In view of holy month of Ramadan, the Hyderabad City Police conducted a coordination meeting with other departments like GHMC, TS Transco, Hyderabad Metro Water Works and Sewerage Board, Fire services, etc., involving the Masjid Committee Presidents / Pash Imams at Salarjung Museum on Tuesday to know the problems being faced at in and surroundings of Masjids during prayer timings in this holy month.
In this meeting all the Police Officer of South Zone, DCsP East, West, Traffic Wing, Task Force and Anjani Kumar, Addl. CP, L & O, Jitendar, Addl. CP., Traffic, Y. Nagi Reddy, Addl. CP SB City and M. Mahender Reddy, IPS Commissioner of Police, Presidents / Pesh-Imams of 207 Masjid of Hyderabad and officials of aforesaid departments participated.
The masjid committee presidents expressed problems being faced by them like stagnation of rain water, drainage water, street lights etc at the premises of their Mosques / Masjids. Traffic Jams parking problems.
The Police Commissioner conveyed Ramzan greeting to all the Muslims of Hyderabad City while addressing to the Presidents / Pesh Imams of Masjid who attended the meeting and requested them to celebrate the festival of Ramadan in peaceful way as it is for contemplation, spirituality and spread brotherhood.
While addressing to the Masjid committee members and officials of the other departments, he said that the Hyderabad City Police would resolve problems like traffic conjunction etc. at the time of prayers. In respect of the problems like drainages, illumination, etc he also requested the concerned Departments Officials to take prior preventive measures at surrounding areas of the mosques / Masjids.
He requested the Masjid committee Presidents to make proper arrangements for traffic / parking management at the premises of the Majids and also said that all the Police Officers’ from the rank of PC to CP will be available to them to meet their necessities. Further he said that he will monitor the problems with other departments day to day by consulting with their Head of the Departments.
Bala Subramanyam, GHMC Zonal Commissioner, said that they have formed a special teams constituency wise to meet the requirements and to drive of the sanitary, electrical and any other problems which can handle by the Municipal corporation. And also requested the members to come forward give their grievances if any facing by them. He also assured that the GHMC is ready to provide power generators and transformers if required. (INN)
