Hyderabad: Mr. M. Mahender Reddy, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad convened a meeting of the officials of various departments for making arrangements in connection with Ramazan. He said that flow of traffic will be regulated and attention would be paid for uninterrupted power supply. The meeting was attended by the officials of GHMC, Transco, water works and Masjid Committees. The meeting was held in Salarjung Museum.
Mr. Reddy greeted the Muslims for Ramazan and impressed upon the need to give the message of peace during the month of Ramazan through worship and prayers. Mr. Reddy is concentrating to regulate traffic flow during the namaz timings and before Iftar in the evening. He appealed to the Imams of Masjid to appoint volunteers around Masjids for making appropriate arrangements for parking. The staff of City Police will be present to assist them.
Zonal Commissioner of GHMC, Mr. Srinivas Reddy told that GHMC is setting up special control room which will attend to the complaints regarding current failure and overflow of drainage water.
Mr. P. Anand, Superintending Engineer of TRANSCO told that staff would be on duty round the clock and the complaints regarding defeats in transformers, breaking of electrical wires etc would be attended immediately. Mr. Jitender, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) and Mr. VV Srinivas Rao, Addl. Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Mr. Qubool Pasha Suttari attended the meeting.
