Following incidents of communal violence on Wednesday morning, Cyberabad Police Commissioner CV Anand has imposed indefinite curfew in the limits of Rajendranagar Police Station limits.
Anand said that the decision to impose curfew in Rajendranagar PS limits was taken after reviewing the situation carefully and with a view of maintain public order, peace and tranquility. The curfew will remain in force from 10 AM on Wednesday till further orders.
Meanwhile, speaking to media persons Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said that Governor ESL Narasimhan himself reviewed the situation and directed the police officials to ensure that the incident does not have any further repercussions. He said all steps are being taken to maintain peace and law and order in the city. (INN)
