Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police busted a major online cricket betting racket and arrested the accused. Police also seized Rs. 7.05 lakh cash, cellphones, laptops and other electronic gadgets.
In a press conference held on 28th April, Mr. Mahesh Murlidhar Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda informed that 11 accused were arrested and one by name Satish is absconding.
He further informed that one of the accused, Sai Kiran (30) belonged to Rajasthan. He started accepting bets from the gamblers of Rajasthan by taking an advance of Rs. 5000 per head. Police also informed that he had 100 bookies who used to accept bets from Hyderabad, Kareem Nagar farm house and other places.
