Members of two gangs, specializing in stealing valuables and laptops from cars, have been nabbed by the crime branch Badkhal of Faridabad Police.
While two of the arrested are from a gang which was active in Faridabad only, the other four arrested belong to the gang active in Faridabad, Noida and Delhi.
Inspector Anil, crime branch Faridabad Police, said that the first gang used to identify parked cars in which laptops or valuables are left behind by the owners.
First they used to try open the car with a master key, failing which they used to break the car glass by using a ‘Gulel’ or a brick.
Once the glass is broken they used to flee away with the valuables, he said.
Police arrested Lalit Bhardwaj, a resident of Sarai Khwaja in Faridabad and Raju, a resident of Kailash Puri Delhi by tracking the registration number the car they used for fleeing after a theft in Sector-16 Faridabad a few days back.
After interrogation of the duo the police have claimed to solve 8 cases of theft from the vehicles.
In the other case, Noida Police nabbed Suraj, resident of Madangir Delhi and another person named Suraj. The duo was brought to Faridabad on a production warrant. On their behest two of their accomplices Shiv Kumar and Tikam Singh were also arrested.
With the arrest of these four members of a gang the police have claimed to solve 7 more cases.
