Bhopal, August 14: A police bus crushed nine people in Bhopal, six of them died.
The mishap happened in Royal market in Bhopal on Saturday when a rampant police bus crushed nine people, six of them died.
The injured were admitted to the hospital. Hospital authorities have confirmed the death of six people. The authorities feared that the death toll could rise.
According to the sources the mishap happened because of brake failure. The police bus first hit the motorcycle riders, then an auto and finally a mini bus.
People got violent after the accident; they protested and paralyzed the traffic. The angry people pelted stones and ransacked the police van.
Police had to lathi charge and use tear gas shells to control the violent mob. No police officer is ready to give any comments on the issue.
