Police Bandobust with 13,474 policemen for Krishna Pushkaralu: DGP

A total of 13,474 policemen are deployed for Krishna Pushkaralu bandobust arrangements scheduled from Friday along with eight senior most IPS officers posted in order to have micro level supervision at various clusters of Ghats, said Telangana’s Director General of Police Anurag Sharma here on Thursday.

The deployed staffs include Additional SPs, DSPs, Inspectors, SIs and constables. Out of them, 6754 policemen for Mahbubnagar, and 6720 for Nalgonda are posted for duties.  Apart from the policemen, 8878 volunteer Force from NCC and Social Organisations has also been taken up to support the policemen on duty and  900 handsets have been provided for policemen for easy communications from place to place as   part of precautionary.

The DGP said that 57 Pushkar Ghats in Mahbubnagar and 28 in Nalgonda districts have been erected as  Pushkar bath and out of them 20 are major 33 minor and rest of them are local ghats.  Two integrated control rooms have also been set up one each to Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts in addition to one each control rooms set up at every major and minor ghats said the DGP. A total of 55 traffic points in Nalgonda and 33 traffic points in Mahabubnagar are also identified   as holding areas.

In addition to the above, the DGP said that 27 SHE teams and 80 Anti Sabotage Checks teams are also deployed. Around 555 sophisticated CC cameras have been installed in two districts at every major and minor point to record scene by scene.  Two districts SPs have been introduced the Mobile APP as “KrisP” for Mahbubnagar and “Nalgonda Krishna Pushkaralu 2016” in Nalgonda district for easy location searching.

The DGP further clarified  that in addition to the Bandobust duties,  the police will also  be taking care of other arrangements like Shuttle Services, LED Display Boards, Traffic Reading Points and Vehicle Identification Sticker Plan etc.,   (INN)
